Effects of becoming a Financial Advisor, if you couldn't prevent your loved ones from financial illiteracy?

Hello! I am a freshman at Bentley University studying Finance and Supply Chain Management with a minor in Business Law. In my free time I do research on investing and trading, but my part-time job takes up most of my time because of tuition burdens. I find that I care deeply about my community and have grown up watching the people around me make horrible financial decisions which has driven me to become a financial advisor.

That’s fantastic recognition and truly reflects a powerful “why” for becoming a Financial Advisor! Your story will resonate deeply with clients—make sure to share it proudly when you step into that role.

To build on this momentum, consider getting involved in volunteer opportunities that connect with finance and education. Organizations like Junior Achievement offer incredible programs where you can start making an impact right away. Not only will you help others gain financial literacy, but it also strengthens your own expertise and adds tremendous value to your resume. Plus, it shows your commitment to empowering others—a quality clients will admire.
