Hello, Anthony !

It would be impossible to say what a filmmaker's salary would be. As a Filmmaker, you can have your hand in several or a couple of projects simultaneously. You can suddenly get a paid project that you didn't expect. You would just have to be open and love the career so much that considering salary or money is not important. First learn how to be a Filmmaker and that will lead you to your own personal earnings.

If you are interested in Scholarships, are you going to Film School or a University ? If you will be going to a private Film School, call them to see if they offer Federal Student Financial Aid. If yes, then apply for it and scholarships. If you'll be attending a University, visit the financial aid office on campus or do a search online for that University's scholarships for enrolled students. Also apply for Federal Student Financial Aid.

Research Film Festivals and contests to enter your films to. Also, look online for these scholarships: The Polonia Institute Historical Scholarship Competition, The Gorilla Creative Future Filmmaker Scholarship, The NSHSS Film and Media Production Scholarship, MMUF Dissertation Grants for undergraduate and graduate students, The Horace Mann Fellowship, The Beinecke Scholarship, The David L. Wolper Student Documentary Achievement Award, The Charles and Lucille King Family Foundation Scholarships for students in film and television related fields,

If you're going to be attending a University, you can apply for scholarships that are not centered on Film, but for other categories in general. Some categories are merit based, need based, nationality or race, and others. Do a search for the Scholarship websites and read many. To increase your chances of getting some scholarships you'll need to apply for very many. It's well worth the time. It's a mater of applying and waiting to hear back if you've been selected for the scholarship.

Many, many scholarships can be found online, however, you should visit your High School guidance counselor and ask about college scholarships and it doesn't have to be film scholarships, you're going to need to apply to as many scholarships you can find. Your town does not have a Film Office, but if you have a Chamber of Commerce, check with them about scholarships.

You may want to start discovering a film community in Chicago or any other large cities unless you'll be attending Film School or a University film department in New York City or Los Angeles. Those markets will probably have more opportunities for work in film.

When inquiring about scholarships here, state what college or school you intend to go to. I hope this helps and I wish you all the best !
