What habits or mindset would help me as I start college on a pre-med path?
I’m a high school senior applying to college, and I want to major in biology on the pre-med track. I know college is really different from high school and it’s a big jump, especially with this major. So I’m wondering what mindset or small habits I should have to keep myself going every day without getting drained.

Hi Betel. One of the most helpful things you can do is to develop a growth mindset. In college, you'll face new challenges, tougher classes, and a faster pace than high school. Instead of seeing difficulties as a sign that you're not good enough, try to view them as a normal part of learning.
Another important mindset is focusing on steady progress instead of pushing yourself to the extreme. Many students think success comes from studying nonstop or staying up late, but what really works is being consistent. Building small daily habits (like reviewing your notes after class) keeps you on track without draining your energy.
College can be busy, but your body and mind need regular breaks and basic care to function well. Small habits like getting adequate sleep, drinking water, preparing meals instead of skipping them, and scheduling short breaks during study sessions can make a huge difference.
Wishing you all the best.
