How can a introvert person be able to make friends when they go to college their first year?
I'm a senior student going to Bloomsburg University for majoring in ASL interpreting and English translation in the fall of 2026. I'm an introvert as well, which kind of makes it hard for me to make friends outside of school. If I'm going to college for ASL interpreting, how can I make new friends in college my first year.

Hi Kailynn,
Look into the various student run clubs at the college. Usually there will be days where all the student organizations will "table" looking for new recruits, like you I was very introverted going into college, but I meat a lot of people with shared intereststs and that's how I made friends. If you're living on campus the first year you will very likely be paired with roomates, They can help establish a baseline for a new friend group. I wish you the best of luck.
