Hello, Madison !
The skills you've mentioned are valuable both on a job as well as in everyday life.
The kind of work you've said you want has many possibilities. You can be a personal assistant, Administrative Assistant, Nanny or venture into the hospitality field, and at the same time think about pursuing a Writing career. These are just some of the jobs you can think about.
Ultimately, you will discover your calling through more life experience and not from a list of possible jobs. If you are just starting out, it may be a good idea to join an Employment Services Program where you can receive job readiness training, paid work experience, and career development opportunities for teens.
For exploring careers, connect with The STL Youth Jobs Program as they provide multiple pathways for youth aged 14–24, including the Discover You program for 15-year-olds. Also find out more about Summer Work Experience for ages 16–24, which includes job readiness and financial literacy training with a summer job. The Summer Youth Employment Program in your city is open to youth aged 14–24 and provides paid on the job training, job coaching, and skill-building in areas such as resume writing, financial literacy, and career planning. Applicants must reside in the City of St. Louis and meet income or census tract eligibility requirements.
Some employers in St. Louis hire teens as young as 14 for roles such as Team Member, Cashier, Lifeguard, Swim Instructor, Youth Sports Official, and Party Host. That is something to reach out for to businesses.
There is also The Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis, the YMCA, and Building Futures which offers youth development programs, summer camps, and hands-on workshops that support academic success and career readiness. Your city offers a lot for youth to explore what jobs and careers would be good for them.
So, in order to figure out your first job or your eventual career niche, it's helpful to connect in person with programs and businesses and explore. Only you can decide where to use your talents and skills.
I hope this helps and I wish you all the best !

Hi Madison. There are many career paths that could be a strong match for your personality and skills. One strong option is administrative or office support roles. Positions such as Office Assistant, Administrative Assistant, Records Clerk, or Executive Assistant heavily rely on organization, scheduling, managing files, and keeping things running smoothly for a team or supervisor. These jobs also require listening carefully to instructions and needs, then turning that into action, perfect for your strengths.
Another direction to consider is customer service or front-desk reception. If you enjoy helping people and communicating clearly, these roles can be a great way to put your listening skills to use. You may find satisfaction in assisting others, whether that means answering questions, coordinating appointments, or helping solve everyday problems. These positions exist in many industries, from healthcare to hospitality to retail or technology.
Your hobbies can help guide you too. Since you enjoy crafts, you may like working in places connected to creativity, such as a craft store, an event planning business, or a company that makes creative products. Gaming shows that you are comfortable using technology, which can help in jobs like Data Entry, Virtual Assistant work, or even support roles in the gaming industry. Because you also like writing, you could help with office newsletters, emails, or social media tasks.
Wishing you all the best.
