What is the best way to reach out to hospitals as a high school senior to get experience before going to college for radiography/medical imaging practices?

Julia, it is a great idea to get some clinical experience before training at the college level for a healthcare career. it will be helpful to confirm your interest in taking care of patients and working in a medical environment. it also will get you more comfortable interacting with a wide variety of patients. As a high school senior and in the summer before college you should be able to find a volunteer position at your local hospital by contacting their volunteer office. Look in their websites or call the main phone number and ask for the Volunteer Office. Often hospitals have positions they hold open specifically for those headed for healthcare careers. You can ask if there are any volunteer positions in the radiology department, specifically, but even if there aren't, any connections with patients will be helpful to you.
