Hi Naomi. As someone who has worked as both a teacher and a lecturer, I can honestly say that while the teaching profession can be tough, it's also one of the most rewarding careers you can choose.
Teaching is definitely a demanding career. When a student who has been struggling finally understands a lesson or when you see them become more confident in their abilities, it's an amazing feeling. It's not just about grades, it's about watching your students develop and knowing that you helped them along the way. Sometimes, students come back years later and thank you for something you taught them, or they tell you how much you influenced their life. Moments like these remind you why you chose teaching and keep you going when things get tough.
