Can you find a job as an architect with a degree in civil engineering and if so, would you recommend trying out that transition if civil engineering isn't the thing for you, what are the benefits or doubts you have had with either major?
Im an upcoming college freshman going for a civil engineering major, but I'm wondering if I can switch things out if I end up changing my mind.

That's an exciting path! Pursuing engineering or architecture in Japan as an American student is an incredible goal. The Japanese system for Building Engineering (Kenchiku) often combines elements of both architecture and civil engineering, making it a powerful and unique education.
