what job should i go for with a degree in techology?

What is the best-paying job for a career in technology? How can I make sure to get that help? any other steps to ensure I can get there for my future?

I like the other responses here, but I will try to give a slightly different perspective. While the "hot category" changes significantly over time, the best experts in many other fields become highly profitable. What I mean by this is that if rather that chasing what may be the best compensated job today, trying many different things and staying committed to a topic or two that you find most enjoyable will put you on the fast track to becoming an expert, and experts with the most experience tend to be compensated very fairly. It's about the journey, more so than the destination.

Technology is a very broad field and there are plenty of opportunities to get a good salary. However this is not easy, and regardless of what your role is, you will need to perform well in your job to get paid well. I would recommend picking something you are interested in or passionate about, this will help motivate you to put in the work and study needed to excel. It is by getting really good in a certain area that you will have the most opportunities to get paid well.

AI or ML jobs are hot right now. But it gets very competitive so make sure your knowledge is as best as it can be. And it will require continous learning and improvement.
But overall, read about or try different areas, and pick what you like the most / most passionate about. Because then you will be motivated to improve over years, and that will help with long-term career growth.
In addition, things that are best-paying change over time, just keep that in mind.
Also you should spend time on developing a set of "T-shape skills" / soft skills as well (for example, communication, leading projects eventually, analytical skills etc.), they will help you no matter what.
