There is so amazing opportunity to be illustrator, you can volunteer doing children books if you are interested or internships that helps create magazine or website designs, and participated in art competitions, you can join art club or make your own art club if your school doesn’t have it, take art class as a electives in your school and research on your own time about any topic you are interested or curious about illustration.

A lot of people likes to do art commissions if you have a bank account and wants to earn some money over time to help you ease the costs of the material you need, and if you don’t have a bank account, that’s okay you can always ask a adult if they can make your own bank account using PayPal or any other online bank account that could be used to transfer all your money and easier to access as well too.

Well being illustrator can be overwhelming sometiems but when you have the right resources and support, things can run smoothly, and if it okay to run with obstacles when issues comes up, things happens sometimes and all you need is some encouragement and patience in order to maintain the ability to keep up with the work.

Not sure what you mean by "changes in emotion," do you mean like emotional regulation and changes in outlook? In which case, yes, it's important to be patient with yourself and learn when you need to take breaks.

But other than that, here's some other things you might need:
–Fundamental drawing skills: makes your scenes more lifelike and believable. Learning new skills like perspective, proportions, and color harmonies can enhance your work and make scenes more interesting.
–Range of styles: lots of illustrators are known for a unique style, but you don't have to pick just one! Being adaptable and willing to learn will appeal to more buyers. Show examples of your range up front.
–Past experience: show people what projects you've worked on (if any) and explain how you contributed (if appropriate)! Some projects/jobs have higher expectations than others, so concrete proof of your experience will build trust between you and a prospective buyer.

To be an illustrator, you don't need a specific degree or certificate. What really counts is your portfolio and how well you can show ideas through your art. Some choose to study illustration, fine arts, graphic design, or animation because school offers structure, feedback, and networking. However, many successful illustrators teach themselves.

Becoming an illustrator involves building your skills and portfolio. This means drawing a lot, learning basics like anatomy, perspective, color, and composition, and developing your unique style. Share your work online, take on commissions, do personal projects, and learn about the industry. In high school, take art classes if available, keep a sketchbook, experiment with different styles, and share your work on platforms like Instagram, ArtStation, or a personal website when you're ready. You don't need to be perfect; just start creating.

When it comes to emotions, you don't have to change who you are, but it's important to build emotional resilience. Illustration often involves rejection, revisions, and feedback. Learn not to take critiques personally and avoid tying your self-worth to a single piece of art. Being emotionally aware can actually enhance your work, as illustration is about expressing ideas and feelings. It's more about managing your emotions and using them creatively. If you love making art and are willing to keep improving, you're already on the right track.
