Hi there! Serving in the United States Army is a great achievement, and while you don't need a resume to join, it's wonderful that you're working on one. Keep building your resume throughout your career, even while you're in the military. It will be a big help if you ever decide to retire or move on to new opportunities. Keep up the great work!

Choosing between the Enlisted and Officer paths is exciting and can shape a meaningful career.
If she chooses the Enlisted route, she'll talk to a military recruiter to find the right branch, such as the Army or Navy. She'll then pick a job role, like a medic, and go through basic and advanced training.
For the Officer route, building a strong resume is key. Encourage her to volunteer, take on leadership roles at school, keep her grades high, and aim for a good SAT/ACT score. Joining a JROTC program can also be a great start. She can become an Officer through military academies, ROTC in college, or Officer training school after some time as an Enlisted member.
Thank your daughter for considering this path of service. It's a significant and mature choice. Best wishes to both of you as you explore these options!
