How should I decide between two colleges?
How should I decide between two colleges if I am unsure on where I should go on my path? What if I make the wrong choice? What if I regret my decision? I am in between The University of Miami and Florida International University.

Hey Natalia,
Those are two great schools - as someone who also went to a Florida school for undergrad I can say that either way you have a bright future ahead of you!
I recommend reflecting on what you want from your college experience - is it graduating with minimal debt? Getting a job in your field of choice after graduation? Culture fit? Student body diversity? Some combination of these? Something else?
Once you figure out what matters most to you, there are a few ways to test things out, like:
- Tour campus
- Sit in on a class if possible
- Talk to current students and get the real talk on their experience (often you can do this on a tour, but you could also use LinkedIn to reach out)
- Talk to students who graduated
- Consider financial aid and tuition - which involves less debt?
- Look at employment rates post-graduation
