What is some advice you have for incoming freshmen that will help them enjoy their college experience without feeling burnt out?
I have felt really discouraged about coming to college and I am scared I will dislike it and not enjoy myself at all. I want higher education, but want to enjoy my 4 years there. There hasn't been anything that has helped, but maybe someone can give me some advice. Thank you!

First, congratulations—that’s a big accomplishment.
If you want to avoid burnout, focus on three things. First, map out your schedule with classes, study time, and daily routines—but be realistic and leave space to recharge. Staying organized helps, but balance is what keeps you going long-term.
Second, make an effort to meet people in your classes and connect with your professors early. Having a support system throughout your four years makes stressful times much more manageable.
Third, get involved in a few clubs or activities you genuinely enjoy—but don’t overcommit. It’s better to do a couple of things well than to stretch yourself too thin. Add them to your calendar and make sure you have at least one fun activity that helps you step away from school, relax, and enjoy time with others. This can be another good reset.
Remember, everyone is adjusting, and it’s easy to take on too much at the start. Stay on top of your work, listen to your limits, and make time to reset and have fun. That balance is what will keep you from burning out.
