What are the most common issues electricians are called to fix?
I'm a 15 year old thinking about becoming an electrician. I appreciate any tips!

Lights. For some reason people freak out if there are no lights. It becomes funny to you as an electrician because you will work in the dark often, but people freak out if there are no lights.
You will have some sort of specialty likely and may not touch another area of electrical work like you may do controls, but never do primary power. You may do commercial wiring or residential wiring only. No matter what the specialty, you will do that and work on lights.
Luckily lighting is easy. There are only so many ways to switch them, they have only a few different voltages. If you are an electrician, you will work on lights in some capacity.

When I was in college, I worked a summer with electricians. We mostly worked on adding lights, receptacles, etc. to already finished rooms, rather than fixing problems. Other electrician companies we ran into focused mostly on building out unfinished spaces, pulling wires, planning devices, etc. There are often lots of options, but I would suggest trying to get some experience with a few types to see which you prefer.
