How do I know if I should double major?
I'm 17 and graduating early! My major is church leadership and I'm looking to add early childhood development 2nd semester. I would love to work in a church, but I would also love to be a teacher. I don't want to take too much on and my grades fall behind. #Spring26

Congratulations on graduating early, that is a huge accomplishment and definitely a display of your initiative and commitment!
The great news about determining your major is that you have time to make those decisions. While there are specific courses that you need to complete to obtain a major, there are general education courses that need to be completed along the way as well. You can start your university experience by taking primarily general education courses and get a feel for how you will respond to the level of courses and able to focus on your grades/experience. Once you get 1-2 semesters down the road, you'll have the ability to add that 2nd major if you choose to. You'll have a better feel about what those commitments look like for you and can determine that workload.
Additionally, there are often opportunities to obtain certificates or minors in secondary fields without needing the full commitment of a major. Worth learning more as you are going through that program.
