This can go a few different directions depending on the portfolio you are talking about. (Investment portfolio, work, project) Generally to make a portfolio, choose a platform, pick your best work, and write short descriptions for each project. If you could let us know the industry or purpose i can try to provide better advice.

Hello, Pranita, I hope you are doing well. A portfolio needs to display one subject, across multiple variable. For example, a painter's portfolio should include their sole or central painting subject, like portraits. Their variables can be still-life, landscapes, etc. Hope this helps.
