When awarded with a scholarship, does the college that I'm attending automatically get notified? Or does the money go straight to them?

Great question. It depends on the type of scholarship. Some scholarship awards are paid directly to you while others are sent to the school on your behalf. It is important that the scholarship sponsora know what school you are attending so they can have the money available when you arrive at school.
