Hi Diya,
It's great to see your strong desire to study at AKU. Getting into a medical university like Aga Khan without a gap year is tough, but with the right approach, you can improve your chances. Here are some steps to help you get started:
Academic Preparation
Focus on good grades, especially in biology, chemistry, and physics, as AKU values strong academic performance.
Start preparing early for AKU’s entrance exam. Practice past papers, work on problem-solving, and manage your time well.
Application Strategy
Get your transcripts, recommendation letters, and other documents ready well before the deadlines.
Write a personal statement that clearly explains why you are passionate about medicine or nursing and how you have prepared for this career.
Broader Profile
Gain relevant experience by volunteering at hospitals, clinics, or community health programs to show your dedication.
Participate in extracurricular activities like leadership roles, science clubs, or community service to strengthen your application.
My Personal Advice -
1. Stay in contact with AKU’s admissions office for guidance on deadlines and requirements.
2. Ensure you meet the subject prerequisites (biology, chemistry, physics, English) for MBBS or BScN.
3. Balancing preparation with your current studies is key, so create a schedule that allows steady progress.
Focus on strong academics, start early on the entrance exam, and build a profile that shows your passion and dedication to healthcare. Even small volunteer or science-related activities can make a big impact. Wishing you all the very best.
