WHICH IS BEST LAW OR ENGINEERING FOR AN AVERAGE STUDENT WHO EXPECTS A LOT OF INCOME IN FUTURE TO SUPPORT HER FAMILY?
I'm a 10th-grade student struggling to choose a career path. My options are limited to law and metallurgical engineering being the most viable, though I fear both. As an Indian student, I'm apprehensive about taking the JEE. My parents prefer engineering, believing it has more scope than law, but I have an extreme aversion to mathematics.

Interest is another important factor to consider when choosing a career. Engineering metallurgy is a specialized field of study within mechanical engineering. Your interest in it is truly commendable.
Generally, mathematics and physics are foundational subjects for all engineering courses. Proficiency in them in high school is essential for success. Other important subjects include chemistry, computer applications, graphics & design etc.
From my experience, average students can and often obtain good grades through the efforts they put into their studies. This is usually sufficient to see them through college. A mindset of continuous improvement is helpful too.
Engineering practice has always focused on resolving some of the pressing challenges we face as a society. Addressing important human needs through engineering solutions greatly supports our drive towards financial freedom. How much we earn is influenced by our level of competence (skills, knowledge & attributes) - practice helps us grow our expertise through experience and this directly influences our levels of income. The better we are at what we do, the higher our levels of income tend to be.
