TRAVIS’s Answer

Going in person to places and asking if they are hiring is fine. For any restaurants, or any business for that matter, go during times when they do not appear to be busy. Dress nicely and be sure to let them know when you are available to start and what hours you can work on a weekly basis.

Rebecca’s Answer

Thank you for your question. Below are some suggestions :
1. Check any working in school, e.g. labs, library, administration, etc.
2. Speak to your neighbor to explore any assistance they need, e.g. gardening, baby sitting, etc.
3. Explore any working opportunities in the neighbourhood, e.g. education centre, groceries, etc.
4. Find openings in chain stores, e.g. fast food shops, supermarkets, boutiques, etc.
Hope this helps! Good Luck!
May Almighty God bless you!

Christine’s Answer

Do you have a resume on hand? If you don't, there are many resources online that can help you create one and format it professionally based on your experiences, skills, education, and interests. Even if you don't have much work experience yet, you can still include skills you have developed through school, extracurricular activities, volunteering, or other experiences.

It also doesn't hurt to ask friends, family members, teachers, and other people you know about opportunities nearby. This is a great way to connect and network with others, especially since communication and networking skills can be valuable throughout your career and future endeavors.

Also, be open to volunteer opportunities in your community! Volunteering can help you gain experience, develop new skills, meet people, and show future employers that you are dependable and willing to contribute.

Most importantly, keep looking and applying. Finding your first or next part-time job may take some time, but every application and experience can help you become more prepared for future opportunities.

Neel’s Answer

A good way to help yourself is to start small and be consistent. Make a simple resume, think about what hours you’re available, and decide what kinds of jobs you’d be comfortable doing. You can look on places like Indeed, LinkedIn, local business websites, or even walk into nearby stores, restaurants, gyms, libraries, or community centers and ask if they’re hiring.

It also helps to ask family, friends, teachers, or neighbors if they know of any openings. A lot of part-time jobs come from word of mouth. When you apply, try to follow up after a few days and keep applying to more than one place so you have options.
