Do you think AI will replace mental health therapists?
I'm worried that I might not have a job because AI seems to be taking over everything.

I highly doubt it as therapy generally benefits from the human element. I can see AI being supplemental, but not replacing the job. I think it may only help therapists with a second brain to bounce ideas off of!

I understand why you are worried, especially with how quickly AI is developing. However, I don't think AI will completely replace mental health therapists.
AI can be useful for things like providing general information, helping people track their mood, organizing notes, or supporting therapists with administrative tasks. But therapy involves much more than giving advice. Therapists build trust with clients, understand emotions and personal experiences, notice changes in behavior, and make professional judgments based on complex situations.
There are also important concerns about privacy, safety, bias, and the limitations of AI when dealing with serious mental health issues. Because of this, human professionals will continue to play an important role.
