I little more information is required to answer this question.
What are you interested in? What career path do you want to persue?
Just doing a Google Search for Internships in / near Layton Utah there are 200 opportunities.
Some that caught my eye:
Walmart and Walgreens looking for Pharmacy Tech Interns
Salt Lake City Courts is looking for Limited Term Interns (possibly good opportunity to see government office work)
Enterprise is looking for Management Interns (FALL season)
If you are in college Carlsbad Tech and Utah Valley University have several internship opportunities
Looks like there is a vast array of opportunities in your area, just have to apply to those that interest you.
Take caution though: Internships requiring you to engage in some monetary transaction or sales internships are often schemes that earn money for the company but offer little value to the intern. If it sounds to good to be true it probably is....keep a trusted adult engaged in your decision making process to ensure you find an opportunity that is right for you.
Also putting this in just because I truly believe this to be true. If you are not sure what direction you want to go at this point in your life. Talk with the Military Recruiters. The ASVAB Test will provide an idea of what jobs you have an aptitude for and as long as you consider what they are offering you - skills will transfer to the civilian markets. I went into the Navy as a Cryptologic Technician and now I am an Engineer/ Planner for Verizon. A good friend of my daughter went in the Navy as a General Clerk and learned skills in Hair Dressing, Retail Sales, and Supply Management.
