tips for acquiring scholarships?

I've been applying for a while now, but it seems that I'm never lucky any tips? #scholarships

I have had success in scholarships by being unique on essay or in my art work as an architecture student. The university I attended asked how could their program make me successful. I was direct with information while show casing the knowledge obtained in my education. I also gave them insight to the person I am goals, achievements and anything else I could pad myself with.

There are sooo many resources online for obtaining scholarships, and the good thing about many of them is that they allow you to filter out various aspects that may or may not apply to you, allowing you to get right to the perfect fit for you, your academic career thus far, and your academic plans in the future!

Last but not least - if you have a prospective school in mind, familiarize yourself with their financial aid office staff! They can inform you of internal scholarship opportunities that may be a perfect fit, for you. :-)

In terms of tips?:

My advice is to 1) apply generously to all aligned scholarships with your academic profile or your academic ambitions, 2) create a strong application for your scholarships, do not use the same application recycled if you can help it, 3) do not rule out smaller scholarships, as they can add up and 4) use scholarship search engines as well as your prospective school's financial aid office to identify scholarships that are obtainable!

Remember - persistence is key! Try to create a daily practice of searching and applying for the best fits, as expansively as possible!
