I can't help myself with geometry.

I can't help myself with studying geometry, I can look at a picture but I can't know in order to proof that the statement is correct. Is there any particular way that I can train my brain into looking at geometry and knowing what to do?

Hi mrRio,

Don't worry, you've got this! Solving these kinds of problems is all about practice and understanding. Here are some steps to help you:

1. Start by reading what you need to prove.
2. Look closely at any diagrams.
3. Use definitions and basic rules.
4. Work through the problem from both ends.

To help you along, here are four techniques you can use:

1. Angle Chasing: Use properties of lines and angles to find connections.
2. Cyclic Quadrilaterals: Look for four points on a circle and check angle relationships.
3. Similar Triangles: Compare angles to see if triangles are similar, then use proportions.
4. Auxiliary Constructions: Draw extra lines or points to reveal hidden relationships.

Watching videos can really help. Try watching proof videos several times to understand the process better. You might find it challenging to match videos with your specific problem, but keep at it. Knowing your basic rules and theorems well is a great start. Here's a video to get you going: [YouTube Video Link].

Remember, there's no quick fix, but with practice, you'll train your brain and improve. Keep going!
