Things you wish you knew as a senior interested in nursing?

I am a senior in high school interested in nursing and was wondering what are good colleges that have a good nursing program? Also, is it better for me to attend cc and then transfer or go straight to go to a four year? With that should I only be applying to colleges with direct admit or should I expand my choices?
