It is possible to get enough scholarships to pay for most of my college?

My family is a lower middle class family, so money is very tight. Scholarships are my best bet at college, so I want to find out how much I can get payed with scholarships alone. #nomoney

Scott’s Answer

I had a friend that went to FSU completely on Academic Scholarships. The Scholarships were enough for room/board and books as well. That being said he applied for LOTS of Scholarships. 1000s of them every year. there are several resources on line that you can find the listings of all of the different Scholarships available.  A second option is looking to work for a company that has tuition reimbursement that will cover any shortfall. Starbucks and Wal-Mart I heard  both now have some form of reimbursement. Stay as far away from Student loans as you can. the last thing you want is to have to worry about loans the day you get out of school. Hope this helps.
