Hi Jayda! While I myself am not an Orthodontist - both my parents and my grandfather are, and each of them took varying amount of study to get there. High level, to become an orthodontist it will take about 10-12 years of schooling after high school - 4 years of undergraduate study, 4 years of dental school, and then a few (2-3) additional years of specialized study for orthodontics and a residency. If you'd like to specialize further, you can choose to study an additional 3-5 years and get a PhD (a higher level of doctorate/study).
