Alondra,
There are still many jobs that do not require college, and, at least currently, unemployment is low, which is driving wages up. Finding an entry-level job with a company that promotes from within and offers college tuition assistance would not be a bad idea. A lot depends on if you can stay home for a few years or are needing/wanting to be independent. Independence has gotten pretty expensive -especially the rent!
What types of jobs? Retail, perhaps Target, etc. Food Service - restaurants , fast food. Hospitals- dietary, custodial. Call centers. Skilled trades -carpentry, plumbing, electrician, masonary - you start as a helper or maybe an apprentice. Administrative, if you are good at being organized and using computers. Security -both commissioned (armed) and noncommissioned (unarmed). Law enforcement - they are requiring college more often than they used to, but sometimes they will hire you and give you time to meet the requirement later (but fire you if you don't).
And of course, the US Military forces. Lots of young people get started there.
Hope this helps!
