Morgan’s Answer
Hi Zachary. As someone who started my career on the IT helpdesk, followed by desktop support, server support, then ultimately managing entire IT departments, the best advice I could give is 1) remember you are in the customer service business. Every interaction is an opportunity to not only solve someones problem, but do it in a way that makes them want to come back and work with you again. It doesn't matter how technically skilled or brilliant you are at solving technology problems if nobody wants to work with you ;). That being said, knowledge is the second most important trait. 2) Continuously be learning. What are all the things you need to know do perform your current job? After you master those, what are some things you need to learn for the next step in your career? Whether it be cloud, coding, cybersecurity, or any other technology discipline, there are always innovations happening. Read websites and news about interesting advancements in the field you want to specialize in, and become someone who raises their hand and say "I will try that new thing" when the boss asks. You can make a great technology career by doing those two things.

Kosta’s Answer
In any technology field, the most important thing is to keep learning. In today’s industry, technology changes constantly with the ability given to anyone who wants it to create and innovate. Pushing yourself to learn more across wider technological spectrum is key. Do not allow yourself to be pigeonholed into a singular job or task. Keep pushing the envelope of what you are getting to do, always looking to come up with answers that are not the easy ones. Whether you do it through certifications, classes, research or any other avenue, your ability to have a wider spectrum of skills will go a long way in making you a better Engineer.
