Start with cooking magazines. They give links to various websites and have articles that you can follow up on for different cultural culinary subjects. A good one is Saveur.

I would encourage you to go through some books initially -

In reality every effort in cooking helps - While one of the hardest parts of this job may seem to be cooking for one but this should only motivate you in every aspect .

Here are some beginners guide mentioned below :

"Everyone Can Cook" - Vikas Khanna

"Mastering Spice: Recipes and Techniques to Transform Your Everyday Cooking" by Lior Lev Sercarz

"Feast" by Sarah Copeland
