David’s Answer

We can say it is a 50/50 or a love or hate, why love and why hate, love because you like the things you will be doing and as well you have the passion for it. Hate because of the amount of time for school you will spend and work you will be doing while completing this degree. I personally seen a lot of student either drop course work or switch major because they lose it from the course work they will be doing per class and see if it a waste of time for them. But if you are dedicated, determine, and has the passion for it, I definitely support your decision and it is a bright future for you once you complete the degree for it. Don't forget there are 2 program for Architecture major, 1. is 5 year architecture program just for Bachelor degree or 4+2 architecture program for Master degree.

Rachel’s Answer

Hey Nathan,
It is a popular field among students, but many students do not realize how much work architecture school is and many change their major. I completed a 5 year Bachelor of Architecture program and within those 5 years half of my architecture class dropped out/switched majors. As long as you're up for the challenge and know what you're in for, you will succeed!
If you have further questions about architecture programs/what to expect, let me know!

Yes, architecture is a popular degree field. My university had a dedicated college specifically for architecture. But be warned - architecture is an extremely difficult degree path. I say that not to scare you away from it, but to make sure you know what you’re getting yourself into. You’ll be tasked with making lots of challenging projects that will eat up a lot of your time. My roommate was an architecture major and he practically lived at the college of architecture (we called it ark hall). In fact, I know he had to spend more than a few nights there to complete whatever he was working on
