Hi! I work in the DH Admissions Dept at The University of Detroit Mercy, School of Dentistry. Here is the Pre-requisite courses you must take prior to being accepted into our program, understand that all programs are different. We require 19 courses with a minimum GPA of 2.7 (but our acceptance ranking is usually in the upper tier of students (3.2 - 4.0) - so remember to work hard, ask questions, and get help when you need it!!!

Academic Writing (College Level)
Literature course
Intro to Psychology
Intro to Sociology
Speech
Chem I and II (basically Organic and Inorganic)
Anatomy with Lab
Physiology with Lab
Microbiology with Lab
Nutrition
Algebra
Computers
Philosophy and Religion (3 courses of these)
Humanities (1 History, 1 Culture/Language, and 1 Art/Music/Drama)

Find the schools you are interested in and ask to speak with an Academic Advisor to put together a plan! Also, find the DH programs that you are interested in and ask them to meet as well!! All Admissions Departments are here to help you!

GOOD LUCK!!!
