do i need to know math really well if i wanna work as a cashier

Not especially, better to be computer literate than math savvy although of course it wouldn't hurt. Also, might even make you better at math :-)

Although quick math skills are very helpful, most cash registers nowadays will tell you the amount of change owed to the customer.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Customer service or Cashier experience.
• Ability to handle transactions accurately and responsibly.
• High level of energy with strong customer service skills.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift heavy items, and work with other team members in a fast-paced environment to provide excellent service.
• Attention to detail.
• Helpful, courteous approach to resolving complaints.
