Jim’s Answer

I commend you for taking the initiative to find work.

There are many options for part time and weekend work. I've managed restaurants for a number of years and can tell you that the majority of the staff are part time. Restaurants are busiest on the weekends so most are eager to hire people for the weekends. Another benefit is there are several types of jobs and most places don't necessarily look for people with a lot of experience. There are lots of other types of employers out there too. Depending on your work experience and comfort level with applying and interviewing, you could spend a little time brushing up those skills. There are plenty of YouTube videos on the subject that can be very helpful. Good luck to you!

Dan’s Answer

Yes, there are a lot of opportunities for a weekend jobs.

Employers have a hard time finding people that want to work on the weekends.

If you can arrange childcare, working on the weekend and in the evenings might be a great option for you.

Be sure to highlight that on your application or your cover letter that you are available then.

IMPORTANT: Have a friend or family member proofread your application… It is very important that your application looks professional
The hospitality industry (working in hotels or restaurants) might be a great place to start as business starts to pick up.

Good luck in finding work!
