I completely agree with Caleb -- the people you work with make your job enjoyable. But you also need to enjoy what you daily job tasks. I do have some friends who enjoy the travel aspect of working in the sports industry as well.

Alana- I love this question! I think what I honestly love most about the sport entertainment industry isn't just the sport part itself. What makes it for me is the people I have the opportunity to work and collaborate with. When you work with people who are invested in what they do from a sport and carer perspective, it makes what you do a lot more fun! I used to want to work in sports because I simply loved sports. Then once I got my foot in the door and gained some work experience, I realized I truly love what I do because of the people.

Laura’s Answer

I enjoy sports entertainment for a few different reasons. Sports stay the same in terms of the sport itself for the most part, but the stories change. The characters (athletes) come and go, th good and the bad, new rules, broken rules, records broken, super stars, and "villains"...you just never know. The other great thing is that Sports allows people to come together and connect on something in common.
I also enjoy this industry from a technological perspective. We can deliver more of the sports stories and games with more bells and whistles than ever and every year brings more.
Where else can you do a job that revolves around multiple sports/games every day without playing the games themselves? There is an energy that is hard to describe, you just need to experience it.
