Bill’s Answer

The critical thinking aspect of an undergraduate degree would be valuable in a number of roles across multiple sectors. You’re ability to think critically and communicate effectively are the kinds of in-demand skills that a lot of employers are looking for in this market. Expand your search criteria to see which roles/position descriptions draw your interest; it’ll be a good exercise for you to learn your likes/dislikes, etc.

Krista’s Answer

You could frame your degree as a communications technologist and/or strategist. The ability to evaluate and communicate technology concepts to non-technological individuals is one example in today's tech-focused climate. Executing internal and external strategic plans is a core function in companies. You have a unique skill set so highlight how you can best add value to a company's mission.

Stacy L.’s Answer

I too have my undergrad degree in Philosophy. Have you considered going for your Master's degree and teaching college? Depends on what you'd like to do with it. You could also become a writer.
Thank you comment icon Yes, in a real, practical sense, this answer is helpful. The other answer is helpful / true in a more general sense. I also think college educations from good schools are always valuable in teaching you a way of thinking that can make you successful in any field, but in the strictest sense, most Philosophy majors do go on to get their master's degrees and then teach philosophy. (Alternatively, you can find what the process is to teach public school in your state and pursue that.) A Khan
