Some kids might be born already knowing what they want to be when they grow up! They might meet an animal when they're still babies and already know they want to work with them someday.

Jemima A.’s Answer

You don't need to reach a certain age to know you ideal career.
For instance, while I was very young, I knew I wanted to go into education and health. I often told my dad that I want to own a School and a hospital. Yes! I finally took the path of education and health but my mindset of owning a school has changed.
On the other hand, some people can decide on their career path during college.
Some during high school while some as an influence of the society.
In a nutshell, you can envisage your career path as early as 5 years old or even less .. What matters is get the right counselling and see your passion push you.

Mike’s Answer

Honestly there is no age that this happens. What I envisioned doing as a career even 10 years ago has changed drastically to what I'm doing now. That's the best part though. You gain new skillsets that open different doors and what you thought you wanted might not be what you expected. Be open to new experiences and you could find a passion for something that you didn't even think about.

Ewelina’s Answer

Hi Angel,

It really depends! Some people have a pretty good idea at an early age as they clear interests areas or talents which they want to follow as a career path. It's very normal that at college stage one may be not too sure about their ideal career and they will figure this out in a later stage. Sometimes in early years of their work life. Therefore knowing your strengths and weaknesses is really helpful so it allows you to make some more informed decisions. Maybe it would be beneficial to see career guide/consultant that may help in choosing the right path and based on your abilities, character and personality to find the best fit. Knowing what you want in your professional life is really good, but also knowing what you don't want is equally important. Have the courage to make a change in your goals or motivation until you find the best fit.

Hope that helps.
