What are some technology companies that include Social Justice as one of their core values?
I'm a senior in high school and am passionate about incorporating Social Justice with technology. I would love to learn about tech companies that I could possibly intern for or work for after college that involves Social Justice in their work! Thanks :)

So social justice....Huge! for sure. In my experience, there are many, many technology companies "that include social justice as one of their core values". As an added layer, you may want to add to your research by looking into the products and services that technology companies offer that are related to promoting equality. Some examples 1)Does the company offer products/services that promote financial equality for instance services that make it easier to invest in the stock market or purchase their first home? 2)Does the company provide investment and/or does the company do business with diverse suppliers? 3)How do the employees of the company engage with various communities and/or how do their volunteer efforts benefit the communities they serve?
I share that seeking out companies that are committed to social justice is a positive step. I also share that there are many ways that technology companies can and do support the fundamentals of social justice.

Hi there! Verizon is a great company for social justice! They encourage volunteer work and have a quarterly objective for volunteer hours for each employee. It is a great way to make a positive impact on your community. Their intern programs as well as FT positions are wide ranging and would allow for you to engage in social justice activities all the time! I encourage you to apply when you are ready! Hi Amanda! Yes there are positions that are open to high school seniors. Please visit the verizon.com page and click Careers. That would be a great start! You could even start in Retail and be heavily involved in volunteer initiatives. Verizon would love someone like you that is already interested in social justice!

Great question! Verizon is on the forefront of social justice issues. The company encourages its employees to be active in their communities, and has an awesome volunteer portal that gives us the ability to reach out and participate in events, in person and virtual, to impact those around us. Verizon does set opportunities, both during work hours and personally, for us to participate in events; and has pillars (digital inclusion, climate protection, and human prosperity) where we can add our skills and voices to reach others. I find it a great way to give back. In 2020, Verizon was one of the companies that encouraged its employees to participate in the election process. Verizon is not just about its cellular network but how technology can change the world and bring people closer. The work environment is wonderfully diverse and cultural exchange is promoted, making it great for employees.

A good company to consider would be Verizon. Verizon is big on social justice and volunteering. Verizon is also a great technology company with many opportunities.
