Raquel’s Answer

There are no extra educational requirements outside of an RN license to be a travel nurse. There are a variety of travel nursing companies that do travel nursing contracts. Some hospitals may require a BSN but not all. Nurses are in high demand right now and hospitals are filling positions with travel nurses so it is a very lucrative field at the moment. Due to that companies have decreased the experience requirement to one year. Contracts run for typically three months at a time, but you can extend.

Warda’s Answer

you do not need to take extra classes for traveling Nursing. You will need experience in the specific field of the job assignment. For example, if there is an open Med Surg position, you will be required to have at least 2 years of experience in med surg. remember that traveling nursing requires you to already know everything and will not give you orientaton.
