The average model makes around $40k USD a year. Like most other occupations the more experience you have the more you tend to be paid per gig. Different type of gigs tend to have varying payment styles. Some places will pay per hour while other places give you a flat pay rate and there is the occasional event that will "pay" you solely in clothes. Your agency usually scopes these different events out for you, in turn you pay your agency a commission.
