Red Cross at the booth for blood drive, Volunteer at your local vet or doc office; Hospitals are always in need of volunteers; volunteer on school campus they usually have groups or clubs that volunteer with American Cancer Society, places like that are considered volunteering as well as you can volunteer at your church they have food drives, give food out or even a soup kitchen is great. You want to find a volunteer site that best fit you and your needs for going into the profession you are leaning towards. It's always good to research the different places and see if that's something you want to do.

Gopi’s Answer

In high school you want to get a well rounded experience. So, in addition to academic rigor you should take on other activities like 100 hours of volunteer work, enroll in leadership activities like DECA, start a non-profit, engage in sports activities. DECA is typically organized by school but other activities are at your own time. Each summer make sure you are enrolled in something significant like SAT prep classes or volunteer activity that will add to your resume to apply for college.

Simeon’s Answer

Honestly, any club or hobby groups outside of college can be extra curricular. Don't worry about getting your application as optimized as possible. Join groups that you have a genuine interest in since they're an opportunity to get to know yourself better and what experiences and interests are a good fit for you!
