Joe’s Answer

It depends...what are you goals? Can you pay for college? Do you want to? The military provides options...but there is no pat answer to your question without more information.

Aaron’s Answer

Remember, joining the military is not for everybody. Only 29% of all Americans are qualified to join the military. (http://time.com/2938158/youth-fail-to-qualify-military-service/) If you are doing it for the college money, you are doing it for the wrong reason. If you can join the military, it will be a change to your way of life. You will be taken away from your home and stripped of what you know. You will be given tools to be successful and learn to put others before your own. Here is an idea, if you want to go to college and serve the military, join the Reserves. You will gain valuable skills, stay in or around your current location, and they will help pay for college. FYI- Joining the military is not like the movies. Movies are made to sell tickets. The military is there to save lives and protect our freedoms.
