Filemaker Pro is a product from Claris. Filemaker is used to create custom applications. One of its primary selling points is that it allows custom app development without requiring a lot of coding expertise. If you have a business and you want to automate some processes, like managing contracts or inventory or tracking contact lists, then Filemaker Pro allows people that are not traditional developers to do so. It has built in templates as well.
