Stuart’s Answer

Depending on where you live, salary ranges for IT Security positions range from $50K US to $103K US. Much of this depends on levels of education in IT Security, certifications held and overall Networking knowledge. Security will be a very strong career choice in the future, but you need to have a strong networking knowledge, strong database skills as well as inter-personal skills to be truly successful. As always, a well-rounded education is key o success in any field, you need a background in philosophy as much as you will phishing.

Hassan’s Answer

It will depend on what type of security you are referring to.

Physical security like protecting buildings etc. will likely be much lower paying than guarding individuals. However, guarding people will usually require specialized training like military, police, or Secret Service. Also, the number of people that require such services and can afford them is relatively small.

Cyber security pays well but it also requires specialized training and skills. Most people go to college for this type of education but some employers may not require a degree. Salaries for specialists will range widely but there is a real shortage and https://mondo.com/blog-highest-paid-cybersecurity-jobs/ list some salary ranges.
