Bhavna’s Answer

Hello Henry,
The time needed to create an advertisement as a marketing professional depends on several factors, including the complexity of the campaign, the budget available, the number of platforms being utilized, etc. Generally, the timeline could vary from weeks to months. Whether such advertisements are profitable would depend on the effectiveness of the strategy and its implementation.

The length of time needed to create an advertisement will depend greatly on the scope of the project and the resources available. It can take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks to create an advertisement, depending on the complexity of the project. As for profitability, this really depends on the target audience, the relevancy of the advertisement, and the specific advertising platforms and strategies that are used. Generally speaking, advertisement streams such as YouTube and Facebook can be quite profitable if done correctly, but the success of any campaign is measured heavily on the preparation, execution, and optimization of campaigns.

I hope this helps clarify some.

Mike’s Answer

In my career in tv advertising, we created commercials in less than 24 hours and sometimes took over a month. It depends on so many factors. Getting final script-approval was usually the biggest snag.

Today, any video advertising is very effective if done reasonably well. The effectiveness depends at the message, but also the goal. So ads are designed to inform and brand. Others are created to drive an immediate response.

So there is no simple answer to your question because of the many variables.

Victoria’s Answer

There are a lot of factors that determine how long it would take an advertising campaign to be created. What are the business objectives, strategies, tactics? For example, if it is a launch campaign, you are probably going to want broad awareness and reach tactics like TV, radio, maybe out of home. Those type of tactics require an agency to provide concepts, potentially storyboard the campaign. The client has to approve the campaign and there is production, etc. So depending on objectives, budgets, and approvals, timelines can be very long, 3 months or more.

Platforms like Facebook and YouTube can be quicker platforms for advertisers to reach their target audience but they have their own nuances. If you are not refreshing your creative in the correct cadence, your campaign performance may take a hit. If you are not optimizing your audience correctly, again, performance may be effected.

So, to echo the answers above, the answers there are so many variables, there is no way to estimate the number of days/weeks/months to create a profitable marketing campaign.
