what major do you need for flim and audio editing?

I majored in Video Production at a school that wasn't a film school, and it worked out nicely for me!

Pick up a camera and start shooting (with your phone if you have to). Start messing with audio. Practice and find what you're passionate about. From there, decide what you'd like to concentrate in. Film and Audio is an art, and there is no bad art if it comes from the heart. Look into schools that offer resources and programs that is the current industry standard.
