Hello Mayuri,

General dentists are the ones you visit every six months for regular check-ups and treatments. Dental public health dentists often work with state or national health agencies. They specialize in public health and may have a master's degree in that field. Oral medicine specialists focus on treating specific oral conditions and lesions. They usually have advanced degrees and often work in academic settings rather than private practice. I hope this helps clarify things for you!
