As a nurse, where in the hospital is the best area to work?

I have a couple options in mind, but I want to find out from others why they like the area they work in. #nursing

In my opinion, I feel it is best to start in Med-Surg, to practice assessment skills, IV's, basic nursing. I worked Med-Surg for 2 years, and then was floated to ICU to help with intermediate patients and found I loved it. I would never have had the courage to work ICU without first working Med-surg.
