How do you know what will be the best choice of college for your desired career?
I have some ideas of colleges I want to go to, all are really good schools. But for the biomedical science majors it is hard to tell which is the best.

Ariana - When selecting a school there are many different considerations to think about. This is my opinion and know that it might not be popular for or agreed upon by all.
The first question I have for you is, is a scholarship possible? I ask this because you must weigh the potential of making your post college career easier to transition out of. Your take aways will absolutely differ from one school to the next and of course you want the best learning experience possible. At the same time starting your professional life in the best possible financial situation is something I personally focused on. I am extremely glad I did this, especially after watching so many of my friends struggle with student loans and getting into a home in their early professional years.
Don’t allow finances to be your only deciding factor. What school do you want to go to? Why that school? Do they have a quality history in the field you are focused in? Is it in state or out of state? I like what was said above.......pros and cons. Although you might see many similarities, every school will have a bit of a different approach and or environment.
The more specific your area of education the more important the program or school attached to the degree. If you are focusing on more general skills or education most degrees will hold a similar value. Again - this is my opinion and I hope it helps a little. :)

A lot goes into picking your college. I would recommend looking at your interests, budget, what programs they offer in conjunction with the things you enjoy, distance from your family and friends (some prefer to get away and spread there wings, others may want to stay close to home).

I started life wanting to be a scientist, got a degree in piano performance, was a gigging musician, then got a degree in geology and was a geologist. Then I learned coding, and became an engineer. Now I work as a technical architect at a huge tech company. Life is not linear and it's VERY difficult and sometimes counter productive to try and forcefully shape your journey. The best advice I have is to focus on who you are as a human being, work on building relationships and strong communication skills. When you gravitate towards something, go deep. If it's not for you, move on without a loss of enthusiasm for the next thing.

To find the perfect college that suits your GOALS, create a comprehensive list of choices that speak to your heart. With this list in hand, I would like to share with you a checklist that will guide you to your dream college.
Remember, the ideal college is the one where you can envision yourself growing, thriving, and realizing your fullest potential. 🎓🚀
Speak to students who are currently studying the course you're about to apply for. Speak to them and get a feel of what their experiences have been.
Make sure to speak to the Student Union, The Administration etc. to get all the data and information on your course, as well as a general overview of the college.
Contact any alumni (minimum 2) from the University who has recently graduated. Have a genuine conversation with them in order to understand the University through their experience.
Speak to Professors who have worked at the University in the past (optional). They would (hopefully) be able to give you an unfiltered opinion of the college.
Visit the campus and take a tour.
