I liked being an electrician because there are so many different opportunities and types of work you could do. Motors, control circuits, commercial, residential, maintenance, telecommunications, the list can go on for days. There are so many skills involved and every day your job is different, unless you get into a very simple position. I liked the challenge of different jobs, locations, and different problems. I loved troubleshooting systems and figuring out why something wasn't working right. It was detective work...also my favorite days where the days that you powered on whatever lights, equipment, or system that your had been working on and it all worked as planned!!!
